Review of The Lost Boys (1987) by Cheyenne G — 04 Dec 2018
The Lost Boys had an assortment of graphical aspects and real acting that really portrayed the fantasy of vampires that was going down in this movie. The use of blood and special effects really brought the movie to life, like I was actually living in this world and experiencing their problems.
Though this movie was made in 1987, the graphics were still phenomenal for the time period. The movie itself displayed an older movie kind of style. The whole movie looked like it was filmed way before than it was just because of the camera quality.
And the blood content was actually up to par with the time being for this movie. While I can sit and talk about the graphics, one important thing I wanted to point out was the acting in the movie. It was realistic compared to other movies around this time.
The movie centers around two boys who move to a new city that has an underlying gang of vampires. The younger brother, Sam, finds out about his brother being turned into one when he experiences his brother doing weird things and finally pieces it together if the whole vampire thing was true or not.
And that really helps him figure out more about the town that he lives in the more in depth with it he goes. This movie is probably still one of my favorites till this day just because of how well thought out it was and how it was portrayed.
The actors chosen were really good for this job and the roles they played.
