This is the motto of the film: "US are the best" . The German officers just appear on screen to admire the american spirit, the american soldiers just talk endlessly about how good they are and that they will never surrender.
But the most hitting thing is that the war was about to end at that time, the german army was ruined by lack of food and supplies, but they all look disciplined, clean and well supplied in this movie.
A simple book like "No News from the Front" by Erich Maria Remarque would show you how bad is this movie.
