Review of The Lords of Salem (2013) by John J — 24 Apr 2013
May be a dissapointment for fans of the corpses movies as this is much more mellow of a film its not as frenetic as zombies earlier work. what makes this movie work is sheri moon zombie's performance, you actualy care about her character and a great supporting cast of people you havent seen in a while like dee wallace (mom in e.
T.). I personaly would have scipped the add on showing sheri moon with the dog (dont worry doesnt spoil the movie) and made it a bit darker. thier are also a few scenes that could have been changed and made better such as the midget demon, the scene with the red cross (why it wasnt upside down, the sasquach thing should have been replaced with the witch ghost popping up).
thiers also a first intentional humor in the dialogue also wich doesnt detract from the movie and makes people likealbe. in all I liked it enough to recommend it. sheri can act and goes from a crazy in corpses to a believable d.
J. chick you begin to care about her character. if your a fan of zombie's films youll probably like this. Its not my favorite zombie flick but its not terrible and at least better than halloween 2.
