Review of The Lords of Salem (2013) by Guillaume H — 25 Oct 2013

The style; very impressive. The story ; pretty good. Many of its symbolism are very imaginative. But the content of the story; vile mysoginy parading as a vision. So in most ways awesome, and at its core, moronic.

I held hope with the trio of the 3 graces but they turned out to be the erinyes, making it a total disaster for women: no redeeming element, only total vulnerability to corruption and men are all (even the blowjobbed priest?!) saviors and cleanser.

And with no Irony there. Im willing to disregard viewpoints in the name of art, but this level of contempt cannot be indulged. So I loved watching it, but thinking it just gives me a stupid headache.
