The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers does what every sequel should do; have our already beloved characters continue on the story we are already familiar with from the first, and throw them in new, unexpected situations.
The Two Towers does just that. The cast continue to shine in their roles, however, it is the inclusion of Gollum, played by Andy Serkis, that really steals the show.
