Review of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) by Ethan M — 02 Jan 2016
Hello 2016! While I'm still trying to wash the shit that is "The Force Awakens" out of my system, what better way to do so than to continue watching one of my favorite trilogies. "The Two Towers" manages to find the perfect balance between action, storytelling, and character development.
So much so, that even the film's three hour run time doesn't drag on like you'd think it would. The final act of the film is so incredible that it has caused me to invent a new word, "Climaxgasm".
A climaxgasm is when the climax of a movie is so great and awe-inspiring that it is akin to that of a mind-blowing orgasm. I'm talking about a toe curling, balls-emptying, rocket-blast-of-cum orgasm! It's also incredible how well the special effects have aged from a movie that's over 12 years old.
The perfect rising-action to the eventual end of the story. Oh, and an additional thumbs-up for the Wilhelm scream (I fucking love that scream!).
