Review of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) by Liam C — 12 Aug 2013
It's hard to review each film individually (for one I watched all 3 in 2 days so they kinda blended together, even though some can watch all 3 in one day) but because they go so well together unlike any trilogy I've seen, they all are one big story as opposed to 3 little ones.
Obviously because they were adapted from one of the quintessential fantasy novels. I was completely blown away by all three films. Everything was done right in these films. Fantastic acting by people I thought wouldn't do well.
Attention to detail. Amazing soundtrack. Characters you care about. Emotional and fighting scenes well balanced. Im probably one of the last people to actually watch this and I wish I saw it sooner. I have nothing but praise for these films do I'll stop here.
This is an example of a perfectly adapted series of books by the guy who made a film about a hippo with boobs and aliens feeding on human flesh for fast food. It's amazing when you think about it.
