Arguably the best film of the greatest fantasy trilogy even though the first movie was a better adaptation. It is worthy of the 11 Oscars it has won, even though Sir Ian Mckellen truly desrved a 12th for his stupendous acting that mashes the whole trilogy so well.
From sweeping set-pieces to beautiful imagery, from astounding CGI to the epic harmonical tunes of composer, Howard Shore. This is a film that has everything that makes a film classic: Drama, suspense, tragedy, relief, epic battle sequences to haunting songs not to mention the masterful direction of Peter Jackson.
This is a movie for anyone and everyone who loves the books, who loves fantasy or just loves some eye-popping SFX! This is legend.
