Review of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) by Salim I — 28 Mar 2014
Out of all of the films in the trilogy, Return of the King is my personal favorite. I was just a craft of masterful filmmaking, like every other film in the series. I get a better understanding of the characters, especially with Gollum.
The cinematography, visual/special effects, and the powerful performances just engages me into the movie. Even the epic warfare is just fantastic. Return of the King is also as emotionally strong as The Two Towers.
Plus, the ending was pretty sad, but somehow satisfying. This was a great ending to an awesome trilogy and an epic achievement in modern cinema.
