The new Hobbit movies prove that Peter Jackson will never make a film this extraordinary again. It's the biggest, the boldest and the best of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. It deserved every Oscar it won.
Many complain about the film's expansive resolution, but that's what makes this such a heartwarming and fitting end to the film franchise that changed the world, based off the 3-part novel that changed the world fifty years prior.
