Review of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) by Alasdair B — 04 Aug 2014
"The Return of the King'' is Peter Jackson's final installment in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and it is by far the best.
Apart from following the book so well, the film brings everything to a close in an emotional and spectacular way. The actors give it there all in this film, their story arcs coming full circle. Frodo and Sam reach Mordor, and the Ring's power has grown very strong over the ring bearer. Will Frodo do what is necessary and cast the Ring into the Fire?
With suspense, great dialogue, acting, beautiful effects, and an emotional core, "Return of the King" takes fantasy films to the next level, and shown that they can be respected.
