Review of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) by Jake M — 06 Oct 2017
An engaging enjoyable film for the most part. Some things were irritating though. The feminist stuff where they make a girl, and a kid with no battle training able to kill tons of highly trained dudes was hard to take seriously.
And the general battle tactics made no sense. The good guys used suicidal strategies which should have caused them to get slaughtered. But for reasons not explained, or visually shown because of the quick camera cuts, these strategies work in the good guys favour.
Like charging horses into pike men, and their horses never being harmed. There was also some love story stuff that added nothing to the overall plot.
