Review of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) by Ken S — 21 Dec 2014
As strong as the previous entries. While I agree with many that there are maybe one or two endings too many, but I also feel that there was just so much to close up in this big and grand venture that you couldn't really end it on one little note.
..every character had to get closure, all the loose ends needed tied up, and Jackson managed to do so. In the end a few things from the novels were left out, but that is really okay with me, because movies have to differ from their novel counterparts in some ways, otherwise what was the point? There will always be those fans that miss certain scenes or hate minor changes.
..but I for one couldn't be more satisfied with Jackson's wonderful adaptations.
