Review of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) by John C — 01 Nov 2017
Regarded as the Magnus Opus of the trilogy, Return of the King has yet again proved that there is hope for sequels. Jackson combines new characters and magnificent special effects in each installment of the powerhouse blockbusters while the old characters never do seem to get old, and yet have the world wishing for another installment to the most glorified trilogy of the century.
This trilogy ends with a bang, and might I add, a bang heard from around the world. 11 for 11 at the Oscars and a box office revenue that would set records throughout the era of the Middle Earth days.
A masterpiece forever set in stone. 5 stars.
