Review of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) by Jamie C — 02 Jun 2016
What a way to end a trilogy absolutely incredible film from start to finish, Ok some could argue that like The Two Towers The Return Of The King focuses more on the battles which make the Helms Deep battle from The Two Towers look like a playground scrap, And yet again the conclusion to how the ring was destroyed takes more of a backseat until the final showdown which was incredible and so moving, A little bit of humour helps the film as it does go very dark in some scenes and can get a little tense too, It's not hard to see why it ran away with just about every Oscar award as yet again its another film that stands the test of time and should be viewed every generation for a long time to come.
