"Fellowship of the Ring" is a great start to the best trilogy of all-time. The acting here is great especially from Ian McKellen as Gandalf and a great surprise performance from Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn.
The visual effects in this movie are some of the best I have ever seen as well. There are too many iconic things in this movie to count from the Mines of Moria to the Balrog of Morgoth to the death scene near the end of the film.
I love all of the LOTR films, but in my personal opinion fellowship is the best.
