Although not the most exciting movie LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring is definitely one if the best films I've seen. It does start a bit slowly and continues at just above snails pace until around the hour and a half mark it gets the job done of introducing a fil series.
In my opinion it does this much better than films such as Batman Begins. The main cast includes many well known names and relatively unknown actors. All of which give a solid performance through out the film.
Overall the Fellowship of the Ring is a great film and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in fantasy.
