An epically enchanting and wonderful spectacle, the first installment of Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy makes for a rousing story backed up by wonderful special effects and action. The cast are all outstanding and fit the characters well, especially Ian McKellen, Viggo Mortensen, Ian Holm, and Christopher Lee as well.
Peter Jackson takes us on a fantasy extravaganza through middle-earth, and it has only just begun.
