Not the full story, not even half of it but Bakshi made an attempt at it which is impressive in itself and it does have charm. A mixture of live action and water colour animation gives this movie a unique and captivating feel.
I think Bakshi captures the atmosphere of the book far better than Jacksons motion pictures and for that reason it has real merit.
