Review of The Lord of the Rings (1978) by Brian J — 13 Apr 2012

An amazing achievement for it's time and indelibly memorable for its eerie stylized rotorscoped animation style. Many iconic scenes were recreated by Jackson in his movies which says much and for many years this was the only movie adaption we LotR fans had. The only down side is that production ended before the trilogy could be completed but what is there is rather amazing and worth your attention.

It should be noted RT.. that Orlando Bloom was 1 when this came out and was unlikely to be in the cast.
