Review of The Lord of the Rings (1978) by Andrew K — 11 Nov 2012
This is some good stuff, though a little long and tends to get boring. It does, however, do certain things better than the live action versions - the Black Riders, Moria and Gollum being examples. The animation is generally brilliant (not including Treebeard) - I don't have a problem with the rotoscoping, but I admit it outstays its welcome by the film's end.
