Review of The Lookout (2007) by Joshua P — 04 Dec 2008
A strong debut movie, and despite being conventional and familiar, it never devolve into predictability. Levitt gives an interesting double performance as the very interesting lead character, and there are some great supporting performances from Matthew Goode and Jeff Daniels, especially.
Daniels is always best when he's playing a creepy guy. It's very atmospheric and the midwest locations work well with the story.
