Review of The Lookout (2007) by Stephen E — 18 Aug 2011
Despite being well-made and well-acted, The Lookout suffers from its script, which is cliched and predictable. There's always a menacing Silent Bob among the villainous gang that never talks or moves until the end.
In this case, Bone. You can find that same character in about fifty other movies. It's good entertainment, but sub-par for screenwriter Scott Frank, whom I respect, for his involvement with Get Shorty and Out of Sight, which are two great films.
