Review of The Lookout (2007) by Kyle E — 10 Jan 2009
The Lookout is a superb film starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a former champion high school hockey player suffering with his personal inner demons that have left him with some mental disorders. But perhaps the biggest surprise of this film, other than that it is the most unlikely crime heist film I've ever seen, is the outstanding and Oscar worthy performance of Jeff Daniels.
Here Daniels plays the most convincing blind man I've seen this side of Al Pacino in "Scent of a Woman", and his charismatic charm shines through even on the darkest of days. Highly worth watching and highly worth your time.
