Review of The Lookout (2007) by Michael S — 22 Mar 2009
The Lookout (2007) is simply an average run-of-the-mill Hollywood film about a hero gone zero and tried to be a hero and became zero again.
There is nothing spectacular to shout about this film in terms of cinematography as well as acting. While the cast list is largely unknown to the general public, they put up a decent enough performance in this film. The plot is predictable at times, and the usual elements of human greed are touched on in this film.
Borrowing certain elements heavily from the Coen Brother's Fargo (1996), this film doesn't do as good a job. Joseph Gordon-Levitt also seems slightly miscast in his "hero to zero" role. 'Nuff said.
