Review of The Lookout (2007) by Joel C — 09 Aug 2012
Scott Frank's directorial debut, The Lookout, is an exceptional heist-thriller that is shockingly emotionally resonant due to another brilliant performance from Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Despite the score, I found The Lookout to be a very underrated film that didn't get the proper attention it deserved.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt's role choices in recent years are extremely impressive and this film isn't an exception. Despite it's action filled ending, The Lookout is more an intriguing character study who desires nothing more than the life he had before his accident.
I won't dig too deep into the film at two in the morning but I will wrap the review up later.
