Review of The Longest Yard (2005) by Dexton L — 01 Oct 2013
Recently just watched this movie again and every time I watch it I almost want to watch it again. The plot line isn't fancy and even doesn't make much sense to what really would happen but given the idea of me being a huge football fan I found it extremely entertaining.
Not only from the great shoots of runs by Nelly or football catches from Michael Irvin but even Adam Sandler has some great one liners. I feel that the movie also has a great theme with learning from your mistakes and doing what is right even if it is the more difficult approach.
Needless to say I think this would definitely be worth your time to watch and I would even go as far as something that would be worth purchasing as you will find yourself putting this movie back in to watch again.
I however can not speak for the authenticity of this compared to the original so that may disappoint if you were a huge fan of Bert Reynold's version.
