Review of The Longest Yard (2005) by Lauren O — 03 Dec 2013
Fun sports comedy, not much else going here though. More than half of the entertainment comes from an unusual group of co-stars. But if your like most of the world and cannot identify Kevin Nash or Bill Romanowski, then your left to watch an average at best silly comedy.
Sort of built as an Expendables of sports casting model. Overall,I'd call it a decent silly film with a few laughs, but not as good as the original or other football films. Adam Sandler not a convincing football player and Chris Rock is his usual not-as-funny-as-I-can-be performance.
Barely 3 stars.
