Review of The Longest Week (2014) by Mark C — 30 Aug 2014
It's a complete rip off, stylistically of Wes Anderson, the dialogue often comes of like a college freshman trying to seem extra smart and score bonus points in his mid term English literature essay, but damn I still sorta liked it.
Jason Bateman gets a lot of the credit for that, he's great here. Visually it is gorgeous from start to finish, but, this writer has a long way to go to get to that Whit Stillman zone of amusing, as opposed to annoying, aristocratic pretentious banter.
