Review of The Longest Week (2014) by Venetia D — 10 Sep 2014
Easily the worst movie I've seen in 2014, and beyond I'd wager. It was meant to be clever and chic, Bateman as a brooding, neurotic train wreck and Wilde with her style stolen directly from Nancy Sinatra which I imagine was meant to add to her charm (replete with false eyelashes that had the wingspan of a Golden Eagle) leaving us with the most boring 52 minutes I've spent since my last visit to the DMV (the movie lasted 90 minutes I'm told).
Even the talented Bateman and alluring Wilde looked like they got off at the wrong bus stop. The only thing I even remotely appreciated about this travesty was Billy Crudup was working. I've loved him since "Almost Famous".
I'd continue to list the film's flaws, but I have something I have to do next Thursday and I'd never finish on time.
