Review of The Longest Day (1962) by Brian B — 30 Mar 2008
Before "Saving Private Ryan" came out this was *THE* film about the WWII D-Day Normanday invasion of Europe by the Allies. It still gives a pretty good telling of various events from that day, but it hasn't aged all that well.
Now - especially after "SPR" - this movie's battle scenes all seem a little too sanitized and "Hollywood." Nevertheless, it is still worth seeing.
