Remarkable film. G-rated version of D-Day though it might be, it nonetheless goes to painstaking lengths to bring as many points of view, tactics, and battle sequences as accurately as possible into cinematic light.
the ensemble cast could not have been better chosen and the cinematography was simply fascinating. an outstanding historical war epic.
