The first and only Black and white film in my top 50. It was actually filmed in technicolor and I have seen the colour version on T.V. I personally don't think it adds anything to the film. The story of D-Day, compressed to fit into a couple of hours.
One of my favourite war films as it's very watchable and not at all glamourised. An early film appearance for Sean Connery as an Irishman, pah!
