Review of The Long Riders (1980) by Senor C — 18 Jun 2006
I'm glad this movie was brought to my attention by my good friend SenorCerveza - this is a GREAT western with one hell of a excellent cast. I gotta say that Walter Hill made some INCREDIBLE movies around the time this was made (The Warriors, Southern Comfort, 48 Hrs, The Driver.
..). Its hard to single out the cast as all the main players are exceptional but I will go with James Keach and David and Keith Carradine as being my favorites. The climatic shootout here is worth the price of admission alone.
Honestly I can't say enough about this movie and should bump up the rating. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and a definite TOP 10 WESTERN. SEE IT!!
