Review of The Long, Long Trailer (1954) by Steven P — 04 Apr 2010
This isn't so much a cohesive movie it is merely a collection of wacky, slap-sticky jokes, but for die-hard 'I Love Lucy' fans, like myself, it is a funny, longer version of the iconic television show that you will surely enjoy.
Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz play a newly married couple who purchase a trailer and decide to go on a cross-country road trip. This, of course, leads to a series of wacky misadventures and hilarious fights that will surely put a smile on your face. The script isn't anything spectacular, but Lucille Ball brings her trademark comedy skills that adds a levity and charm to the lacking plot.
