Really irritating pisstake on Philip Marlowe. This isn't the guy Chandler wrote, and making him this naive is cheating. There are some clever, funny scenes if you pretend it's some other detective with the same name, but it never hangs together, and the many virtues of the novel are flushed down the toilet.
