Review of The Lonely Guy (1984) by Philip G — 02 Aug 2008
A film that starts off really well, then runs out of steam. Martin is on-form, yet eclipsed by Charles Grodin's hilarious performance as the other "Lonely Guy". Less impressive was Judith Ivy, in the role of the love interest; it stretches credulity a little too far that Martin's character would stick with her, given the alternatives presented (not least Robyn Douglass's lovely nympho!).
