Review of The Loneliest Planet (2012) by Richard P — 27 Nov 2012
The "suspense" of the film is in hoping that a plot will break out. I'll credit that the acting is actually rather decent, but the plot is woefully boring... it just goes on and on. And while I can appreciate the artistic value of a long shot, it's a bit much to have almost *every* shot be one of them, watching as the characters way out in the distance slowly make their way from one edge of the screen, step by step, to the other edge of the screen.
This film just went on forever. And then it ended. There wasn't even an ending; it just ended. They should've shortened all the long shots & doubled the film so that it could've had a storyline.
