Review of The Lone Ranger (2013) by Atormorkan — 22 Oct 2013
All though this movie was not perfect it certainly did not deserve to get banged up by a lot of critics and others who I feel are somewhat close minded. This is the kind of movie that appeals to people with a capability for abstract thinking and can accept entertainment which presents the unexpected.
No, the Lone Ranger is not an Instant Hero and Tonto is not his servant. The plot does not always follow the linear direction that you would think. And the story told by the old Tonto is possibly that in his own mind just a story.
But these are the things I liked about the movie and thoroughly enjoyed watching it at The Family Drive-in in Stephens City,VA with my wonderful wife,my awesome 5 month old son (who fell asleep on my chest before the movie even started) and a sky full of stars overhead.
Add this one to my list of all time revisionist westerns and I am looking for more like it from this creative team.
