Review of The Lone Ranger (2013) by Derek W — 22 Aug 2015
-IGNORE THIS "OUT OF FIVE" RATING.
0/4.
Painfully contrived (and overlong) story of lone ranger being known a legend from Native American. Excruciatingly paced, loud, robust action overkill, not helped by terrible dialogue and characterizations. Over 200 million was wasted on this travesty, why should a Western ever cost that much? But a bigger question may be who the movie wants us to root for. An idiot lead, or a wisecracking sidekick. Johnny Depp actually considered to quit acting because of this film's reputation. It's too bad he didn't go through with it, there may be RETURN OF LONE RANGER. If you were able to sit through it, you're a champion, I walked out.
