Review of The Lone Ranger (1956) by Shane K — 29 Aug 2014
Overlong, over bloated and the script is flat out bad. Pretty much you've got Johnny Depp playing Jack Sparrow as an Indian, which is politically incorrect. Armie Hammer is just completely wasted as the lone ranger, not to mention the the actors playing the villains in this movie are pretty much one dimensional.
Bottom line Jerry Bruckheimer and the director pretty much thought to themselves "hey since we made Pirates of the Caribbean so well why don't we pretty much make the Lone Ranger and pretty much typecast it with zero to little effort.
I was expecting something great with this film but it's wasted potential is the cause of little effort.
