As a Belgian movie fanatic, I obviously saw the original movie by the same director (Erik Van Looy) in 2008. It was the most successful movie in Belgian history, with over a million viewers (which means 10% of the Belgian population went to see Loft).
When I watched the American version, I was pleasantly surprised, as the movie was as good as the original, only darker and sexier. All of the actors were great and the movie didn't cease to amaze me. I highly recommend watching this movie, and to be surprised by the enormous plot twist at the end of The Loft.
