The Loft is a hopeless thriller that could have been promising with the premise and its clever twists. Although, it suffers from a weak one dimensional script and have uninteresting characters that does make it hard to care for them. The plot was thinless and felt like a erotic thriller version of Law and Order when characters are stuck in the loft trying to figure out about a mysterious dead woman. The films narrative travels through flashbacks as we learn little more about the characters interactions.

The story follows Vincent (Karl Urban) who owns a loft and shares with his four friends Chris (James Marsden), and (Wentworth Miller) and a couple of others. In order for them all to have an affair with their wives. Then, a mysterious dead woman appears, and all five friends start suspecting each other as they try to figure out how she came into their private loft.

The Loft does have a big talented casts; Karl Urban, James Marsden, Wentworth Miller, And Rachel Taylor. There performances were so one dimensional with their characters, it was hard to care for anyone in the movie. The Loft is a thrillerless film that is uninteresting, that seems to be like a straight to tv type movie.
