Review of The Lobster (2015) by Cara S — 11 Jun 2016
'The Lobster' is a detailed and provoking look at a slew of like minded and somehow confused, but seemingly confident, average single people -- who have 45 days to find a mate within the resort each volunteers to essentially "check out" at.
Hands down Collin Ferrell's most convincing role, alongside a versatile and charming cast that captivates and leaves you unfolding the layers of 'The Lobster' days after exiting the theater.
Not for the squeamish, this film pushed the limits on a rather disturbing alternative to singledom and to the strange common way of thinking about love and what it's "supposed to look like".
