Review of The Lobster (2015) by Daisy H — 04 Aug 2016
The dystopian premise enticed me, but the film simply trafficked in old Hollywood ideas of romantic love. The film is basically about two people who fall in love and overcome all the dystopian odds to be together.
There's very little exploration of the mechanics of this fictional world or the characters. All that said, the location is Ireland and the photography beautiful.
