Review of The Lobster (2015) by Simon T — 06 Dec 2016
The man who gave us the uncategorisable Dogtooth now gives us the uncategorisable Lobster. It's equally fascinating and infuriating, very well acted in a deliberately robotic fashion, but a little too in love with its 'difference' to be applauded wholeheartedly.
Is it a dystopian black comedy? Is it an Orwellian farce? Difficult to say. Colin Farrell is excellent as a dull divorcee attempting to do the right thing.
