Review of The Lobster (2015) by Tehl B — 22 Jan 2017
Well, it was different. This was a very strange future tale of a reality that might exist (society not permitting non-married people to participate equally) with one that couldn't exist. It was certainly different, quirky, funny (at times) and dark.
Still, it was a bit off-the-wall for me. In addition, the movie would have been made stronger by having a stronger leading man. Colin Farrell is fine, but couldn't capture my attention the way another lead actor might.
However, Rachel Weisz was amazing (as usual).
