Written and directed by Yorgos Lanthimos with a theme that could have been used for a futuristic dystopian movie but is used for the present time in which society turn single people into a national crime.
They are then brought to a hotel to have 45 days to find true love otherwise they are then turned into an animal of their own choice which the main character choice played by Colin Farrel chose himself to be turned into a lobster hence the title.
In this particular movie the society is so repressed that the characters all act and talk like robotic stiffs. Colin Farrell as David with the narration done by the short sighted women played by Rachel Weisz.
