Review of The Living Daylights (1987) by David K — 16 Nov 2009
Timothy Dalton's first outing as the famed secret agent is a success. "The Living Daylights" showcases a more sensitive and caring James Bond than what audiences are used to, but change isn't always a bad thing.
The plot here, as usual, takes a backseat to the action set-pieces and the exotic locales. But it has something to do with the Russians doing something in Afghanistan. It doesn't really matter. The action is good and the various locations, though minimal, provide for a strong Bond adventure.
"The Living Daylights" isn't one of the stronger Bond films, but it's enjoyable nonetheless.
