While Dalton's dead serious demeanor and underwhelming sex appeal might seem a diversion from Bond as we know it, there's enough excitement in this action packed espionage caper to placate anyone's annoyance.
Dalton is cool and collected as James Bond as he attempts to foil the plots of evil arms dealers, and maintain peace between NATO and the Soviet Union. With everything from a genuine feeling romance (a rare gem in Bond's sordid history) to explosive fight sequences, The Living Daylights is well worth a watch.
